Our continued success has created an opportunity for a Senior Product Manager for Business Process Management (BPM) who will be responsible for the development and lifecycle management of eCopy's imaging products for BPM worldwide.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Product Manager will gather and define requirements for eCopy products that meet the needs of Systems Integrators and Value Added Resellers who are incorporating document imaging into BPM for office work flows. He/She is also responsible for defining and sizing market opportunities, developing business cases, and managing the product roadmap. He/she will provide positioning, value proposition, key benefits and target customer and channel profiles and work closely with Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing in addition to Development and Sales.
Essential Job Functions:
- Managing the life cycle of eCopy's BPM imaging tools and products, from strategic planning to tactical programs
- Developing and maintaining the product roadmap, product requirements documents and pricing models
- Defining product requirements that meet the needs of Sis and VARs who are incorporating document imaging into BPM office workflows
- Leading cross-functional teams that drive product development through requirements definition, product contracts, development and release
- Assessing technologies (i.e. web services) and technology providers for their potential incorporation into eCopy products
- Developing product positioning, value propositions, feature/function/benefit grids and target customer and reseller profiles
- Working with Product Marketing and Software Alliances groups to develop and implement marketing support plans, programs and activities
- Up to 25% travel is required
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
At least 6 years of Product Management experience in a software company, preferably working with document imaging software, is a must. BS in Business Administration, Computer Science or Engineering is required.
- Must have a proven track record of successfully guiding commercial development of document imaging software solutions used by Systems Integrators and VARs
- This individual will have a strong technical background including experience with software development and the development of product requirements
- Willingness to solicit feedback to quickly build cross functional support for decisions is required
- Ability to develop information and speak to both highly technical audiences as well as non-technical, business focused individuals is a must
- Product Management software development experience focusing on web services is a strong plus
- Product management experience with software solutions for systems integratator and VARs who work with MS SharePoint is also a strong plus
- Self-motivation and ability to successfully manage multiple priorities is required
- Ability to deliver on time, to high standards and with minimal supervision is a must
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with fellow product leaders in development, program management, quality assurance, documentation and product marketing is required
- Experience product managing software solutions for systems Integrators and VARS who work with Microsoft SharePoint is also a strong plus
