RICOH EXPANDS RELATIONSHIP WITH ECOPYTM
TO PROVIDE CUSTOMERS WITH ADVANCED WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY
West Caldwell, NJ, November 21, 2006 – Ricoh Corporation today announced that it has expanded its relationship with eCopy, Inc., a leading provider of solutions that integrate paper documents into enterprise software applications. eCopy will work with Ricoh’s new Document Solutions and Services Division (DSSD), a leading provider of solutions that provides fast, accurate and secure document workflow solutions, to distribute the eCopy Suite of products to its independent dealer network in North America.
Designed for paper-intensive offices, such as legal, healthcare and financial organizations, Ricoh and eCopy help speed the exchange of information. In the past, Ricoh distributed eCopy products through Ricoh Business Systems (RBS), its direct sales channel. Ricoh has now expanded its eCopy relationship to distribute eCopy products through more than 600 Ricoh, Savin and Gestetner independent dealers.

eCopy’s ShareScan® utilizes the Ricoh copier to convert paper-based information into electronic images that can be incorporated directly into the workflow of critical business processes, such as reporting, administration, document management, finance, human resources and customer management. The software also provides organizations with the highest levels of protection to safeguard intellectual capital and conform to government and corporate compliance programs. ShareScan can either be integrated inside the Ricoh multi-function product (MFP) or can be attached via the eCopy ScanStationTM, an external touch screen and keyboard that connects to the outside of the device.
Bundled with ShareScan, eCopy DesktopTM bridges the barrier between paper and electronic documents and enables organizations to move information at Internet speed by making it easy for any office worker to create universally readable PDFs from paper documents and other electronic applications. Leveraging the PDF standard makes it simple to retrieve, file, modify, e-mail, fax, and move documents as part of office workflows - all while maintaining the integrity of the original document.
